9/20/06 06:33 pm - wish_on_a_star2

By the time you read this, the last POV may have already been edited.

First off, I want to thank all of you who voted for me! You guys are awesome.  Unfortunately, my health kept me from participating in the POV competition.  I did not get off work until about 5:30 or so last night.  Once I got home, I fell ill with extreme abdominal pain and was instantly admitted into the hospital.  I will not go into details here, as I don't wish to tell everyone and their Uncle Bob about it! Anyways, I am doing fine now, but was not able to get home until after  the results were posted.

Please don't think I am sabatoging the game or anything like that.  I hope you all still see me as an active player and someone who wants to continue playing the game.  I understand if you all want to nominate me or whatever, I am fine with it.

Once again, I apologize and congrads to Matt, this week's POV holder.

9/20/06 05:43 pm - thenunownedgoat - Week Four: POV Results, Power of Veto, Twist Announcement, Diary Room Entries

Due to a mistake not even the Chenbot could make, Marie is NOT the Power of Veto winner like I previously declared. It's a good thing we have watchful HouseGuests, because I made a mistake. I'll fix things up in the POV Results cut below. Additioanlly, I offer my apologies to Marie.

POV ResultsCollapse )

Additionally, because this was a mistake on MY part, and no one elses, I'm giving temporary, one-week immunity to Marie that protects her from both the HOH and the Coup d'Etat holder. Meaning, for this week (and this week only), she is safe from eviction. Once again, I'm sorry.

9/18/06 05:01 pm - thenunownedgoat - Week Four: Twist Announcement

Hello, HouseGuests. It’s your host, Andy here, and I thought it was time for a twist! Now, as we all know, the Big Brother producers introduced a new power in season seven, All-Stars. This power was known as the Coup d’Etat, and it allowed it’s holder to overthrow the Head of Household by making new nominations.

Well, that power is up for grabs here, in Big Brother: Online 2!

In the televised version, the HouseGuests were given three clues and they had to guess the correct phrase, associated with those clues. It’s going to work a little differently this way. The Coup d’Etat is hidden somewhere on the Internet – somewhere you could easily find. Once you find the Coup d’Etat, you may be given the power (BUT ONLY IF YOU FIND IT FIRST!).

Find the webpage that clearly states that it is the Coup d’Etat page for Big Brother: Online 2. It will give you specific instructions on how to claim the power. Follow the instructions exactly and, if you’re first, you will win the Coup d’Etat!

Now, to recap on the power… the Coup d’Etat holder has the power for up to three weeks. If they do not use it within that time, they loose it. If they use it, they do not get to use it again. The Coup d’Etat can, right before eviction voting, announce that they have the power and overthrow the Head of Household. The Coup d’Etat holder puts up two new nominees for eviction, but they cannot be the Head of Household or the Power of Veto holder.

This power has the potential to shake up the game. However, you have to find it soon or else it will expire!

If no one finds the Coup d’Etat in the next two weeks, the power will no longer be up for grabs. This means that, once someone is evicted in week six, the power will expire if no one has found it. However, if someone has found it, then they have three Big Brother weeks from the time they got it to use it. If they don’t, it expires.

To find the Coup d’Etat, find the webpage. There’s a link to it somewhere where you can easily find it, so it shouldn’t be a big deal. You just have to look. However, realize that the link location may change, or not exist at all during the next two weeks. This means that I can take down the link for a day or so, just to mess with you guys, then put it back up in a completely different location!

If you have any questions about how this twist will work, feel free to leave a comment in this entry and I’ll explain it as best as I can.

Also, the jury starts now. From now on (not the latest evicted HouseGuest, however), those evicted are part of the final jury of seven, who will decide the winner of Big Brother: Online 2! Congratulations to everyone who has made it to this point in the game.

Additionally, all HouseGuests are encouraged (but not required) to post a good-bye message to the evicted HouseGuest, if they wish. I will unscreen them, so everyone can read them.

9/14/06 09:31 pm - matterbuggy - Zoinks

I just wanted to clarify myself, since there has been a lot going on involving me.

Like I said before, I did look up answers to the last veto competion. I fully admit this.

However, I was not trying to purposely cheat. I honestly did not see the rule about not looking up answers until after submitting my answers. If I was truly cheating, I would have no reason at all to admit to it.

I'm fine with the penalty nomination- what's happened has happened, and there is nothing I can do about it. I just don't want everyone to think I'm this big cheater, and I hope everyone understands this.

9/14/06 09:35 pm - thenunownedgoat - Week Three: Announcement/POV Results, Power of Veto, Announcement

Originally, Matt won the Power of Veto competition with 16 points, making him the winner. I will admit, I found this highly suspicious, but did not say anything because I didn't want to offend if he was telling the truth, and there really wasn't anything I could do anyways.

Here's a little part of what I posted in the POV competition. "
Without looking the answer up, type either “true” or “false” for each answer in a comment. Do not enter anything besides true or false (including T/F), or your question will be marked wrong. Here are the questions."

Apparently, not reading the introductions is commonplace around here (*cough*Krysta:-P*cough*). Just read it before you compete, it's no big deal.

To quote Allison Grodner, executive producer of the actual Big Brother game, I value fairness very seriously here. Many believe Allison Grodner wasn't serious, but I am. I pre-write all the competitions before I read your applications.

Matt posted this comment:
Hi Andy. I'm going to have to disqualify myself from the veto competition.

I didn't see the no looking for online for answers until after I sent in my responses. I said if I won it, that I would give it up.

So, I'm really sorry for not reading all the rules, that's no ones fault but my own. I understand if I should get a penalty nomination or whatever the penalty is.

Sorry again,

Because of this, we need to determine the new Power of Veto winner. I'm not going to re-do the competition, I'm just going to eliminate Matt and re-determine the winner. At the end of the game, Jason and Jenn were tied with six points, which means we need to go to a tie-breaker.

Additionally, we'll discuss Matt's cheating below.

POV TiebreakerCollapse )

Now, about Matt's cheating. It was clearly stated that you were not to look the answers up. Because of this, it wouldn't be fair to let this "slip" as a mistake.

Matt will recieve a penalty nomination. In addition to the two "normal" nominees, Matt will also be up for eviction this week. HouseGuests may choose to evict one of the three choices, just like normal (except there was three). In the event that Jenn uses the Power of Veto, Matt will still decide the replacement nominee.

Jenn cannot use the Power of Veto on Matt.

Power of VetoCollapse )

One last thing, about the cheating situation. I realize that there's really nothing I can do to control cheating the way it is currently set up. I don't want to make the competitions "live" (in the chatroom or otherwise), because not everyone can get on at the same time (plus, I can't always guarantee that I'll be able to get on).

I've got an idea about something that I could do which MAY help somewhat. Until then, I don't really have anything to offer. I do hope that from now on, there will be absolutely no cheating in the game. I'm using the honor system, I know, but it's the best I can do. Please, people, don't ruin this for everyone by cheating. Just be honest!

9/14/06 04:51 pm - dano_mano - Recent PoV

Listen I need to say it. I dont know any of you that well. I cannot sit here thinking everyone taking part in this game is a saint or even honest. I looked into it. The ability to cheat in this game is staggering. I just got home from work and maybe 20 minutes to get all of the correct answers for the PoV.

Since games are not live and its really really easy to cheat I decided while at work to not take part in the PoV.

Andy this is not of your fault there isnt much you can do.

but really the only thing i could think of is setting a time and date thats managable by all participants in the chat then opening P2P chats from the chat and doing Q&A live.

since this obviously goes against what people who cheat would want you could expect a fair amount of resistance.

if its not possible to get certain people available at the time of the game arrange to do it at a seperate time with them.

but this is all just seuggestive and i love the game but i hate the aspect that cheating is so easily attained for victory.

you can blame the following sites for making easy to cheat.

- www.google.ca (com)
- www.yahoo.com (ca)

the list goes on and on and on. either way sice ceaters are also deniers of the act you cant actually find out who cheats and who doesnt. i know this. and no one would allow you to load up a scripter to see if they use any such sites to search for any of those questions.

so you really cant prevent cheaters.

the thing is that this is a nasty circle. and all that can be done is to go on and assume that no one cheats... well HOPE no one cheats.

anyway thats my two cents.

9/12/06 07:54 pm - thenunownedgoat - Happy Finale Night!

Hello, Everyone. The Power of Veto results haven't been posted yet because I'm waiting on two more people to complete them. If they don't respond soon, I'll just move on without them.

Anyways, tonight is the night -- either Boogie or Erika will be crowned the champion of Big Brother 7: All-Stars. Hope it's been a good season for you.

Do not make any new posts about the finale tonight. If you wish, you may discuss it in this post by posting comments. That means the comments for this entry may be filled with spoilers, read at your own risk.

Additionally, do not discuss the episode in the chat room until 12:00 Eastern. I will be reviewing the transcripts, and if anyone reveals any details on tonight's show, they will recieve a penalty nomination.

Thanks for your cooperation. I'm just trying to avoid spoilers for those who don't want them.

Have a great evening!

9/11/06 09:46 pm - thenunownedgoat - Week Three: Power of Veto Competition

Here it is...

POV CompetitionCollapse )

9/11/06 06:25 pm - thenunownedgoat - Week Three: Nomination Ceremony

Nomination CeremonyCollapse )

I would normally be posting the Power of Veto competition right now, but I'm not. The reason for this is simple: I am currently not using my home computer, and so I don't have access to the .doc files with the competitions typed up. I could create a new competition, right off the top of my head, but I want to be 100% fair. Even though I wouldn't (besides, I can't even tell which type of competitions each individual does best at, yet), I don't want to let myself be open to accussations of tipping/rigging the game in favor of one HouseGuest or another. I'm just trying to stay fair.

Also, I don't know if I've mentioned this, or how many of you noticed it. If you look on the userpage for this community, you'll see a couple different sections written for guests checking the community out. However, at the bottom, there's a list of all the HouseGuests. Depending on their current status (evicted, HOH, POV, etc.), their color changes. There is a key below to clarify what the different colors mean. I try/usually keep it up-to-date.

My wallpaper at home is a picture of all 14 HouseGuests. During the season, I changed their pictures to black & white once they were evicted, and I added little symbols for their status (HOH, nominated, etc.). That way, when I was watching the feeds and I wanted to "think Big Brother," I just looked at that. You can do the same thing. When you're trying to figure out votes, alliances, or whatever, you can use that list to see where the power lies in the house.

Power of Veto should be posted in the near future. Maybe tonight, but there's a possibility it won't be.

9/9/06 11:10 pm - thellamaqueen - HOH...

hey guys...
i just wanted to explain why I didn't participate in HOH this week...
it was entirely unintentional.  i had the whole thing typed out and ready to be posted... and then i got called in early to work today and didn't get a chance to post it.  I was actually really looking forward to this HOH and hoping to do well in it... and then, well... lets just say that work is a little bit more of a priority to me right now than Big Brother (although this game is still very important to me!  its just that paying my rent and being able to eat on a regular basis are even *more* important...)
So with that said... I'm really sorry.  :(  I don't want you guys to think that I'm inactive and not participating in the game.

Anyone who wishes to leave Diane good-bye messages may leave a comment in this entry. Due to the HOH competition, comments are initially unscreened. However, as soon as I see any, I will unscreen the goodbye messages. This is optional, encouraged, but not required.

HouseGuests, it's now time to vote to evict one of your fellow HouseGuests. Diane (filthytabloid) and Matthew (mjl87) are up for eviction.

Diane and Matthew, as the two nominees, are are not permitted to vote. Jenn, your vote will only be used in the event of a tie. All other HouseGuests are required to vote.

I will give you guys a day or two before I start the eviction process, just so everyone has a time to campaign think.

It's now time for the Diary Room Entries, once again. You guys did amazingly good and I was so impressed last time, so let's try to keep it up. I really love reading and understanding what you guys are thinking, feeling, and your plans. So feel free to get detailed.

It works the same way as it did last time, just post a comment with your diary room entries. Below are some prompts that I want you to try and answer, but you are always encouraged to include more!

Here are this week's prompts:
---Where you happy when Jenn became the new HOH? Were you satisfied with the nominations?
---What did you think about the twist, where Jason won the Power of Veto?
---Has your alliances and/or gameplay changed from week one to two?
---At this point, who is the person you want out of the game most (nominee or non-nominee)? Who do you want to leave the game the least (besides yourself)?

Thanks HouseGuests!!

Since we haven't had an eviction yet, I'll run through how it will work. Sometime in the near future (although I cannot say when, exactly), I will post a poll and ask you who you wish to vote to evict. After everyone votes (or a reasonable amount of time goes by), I'll count them up and announce who was evicted. Nine people vote (everyone but the HOH and the two nominees), but I will still ask Marie, the HOH, who she wishes to vote in case of a tie (for two reasons: just to find out who the HOH really wants gone, and in case another HouseGuest doesn't vote within a reasonable amount of time). This will all happen soon, with enough time for you to consider who to vote to evict.

8/30/06 10:23 pm - thellamaqueen - you guys can shoot this down if you want to, but...

how about we play a little game to get to know each other better?
i'm just kind of making this up on the spot...
what if everyone replies to this post telling us something that they have never done before... maybe something that they think the rest of us *have* done... like for example, if it were me, i might say. "I've never watched any of the Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings movies."
I think it could just be a good way to get some discussion started between all of us... a way to get to know some interesting stuff about each other.  What do you guys think?  Sound good?

8/30/06 04:37 pm - thenunownedgoat - Week One: HOH Results, Nominations

HouseGuests, the results are in! Someone has won the first Head of Household competition. Click below the cut to find out who was eliminated win, and who the new winner is!

HOH ResultsCollapse )

Now, as you know, it is the Head of Household's duty to nominate two people for eviction. The following is for the new Head of Household. She should fill out the poll with the name of the two HouseGuests she wishes to nominate for eviction.

NominationsCollapse )

Nominations will be posted as soon as possible, probably tomorrow (but no promises!). The Power of Veto competition will be posted at the same time.

8/29/06 02:50 pm - ohxlindsey - I was wondering

Exactly how are we supposed to play the game, such as create alliances and create the sort of atomosphere of living in the house? I was just curious about that.

8/29/06 04:16 pm - thenunownedgoat - Week One: Head of Household Competition

Let's get this party started! Your FIRST EVER Head of Household competition is below, under the cut. But first, I want to clarify something when I say "week one."

In the real Big Brother house, shown on television, the game is basically divided into weeks. For instance, in week one, Janelle and Jase were co-HOHs, and Alison went home. Except for the twists, they basically stay on the same schedule (i.e. eviction/HOH competition on Thursday, etc.). Unfortunately, do to the Internet medium we are using, the schedule can fluctuate quite a bit, depending on how things are going.

When I say "Week One," I mean a Big Brother week, or from the HOH competition to the eviction. Week One could actually take two weeks, or a week and-a-half, depending on the responsiveness of all the HouseGuests.

HOH CompetitionCollapse )

Now, I always guarantee at least twenty-four hours on a competition, so if I post it at 4:15 PM on Tuesday, you have until at least 4:15 PM on Wednesday to complete the challange. However, I'm not always strict with this. More time may be alloted, at my discretion. Additionally, if everyone completes the competition before twenty-four hours are up, I may close the competition and get the next step up immedietly.

This time, I will not give a time frame. Once the game begins, we will start to get in a pattern and it will be easy for you to figure out what's going to be done, when. It all depends on how active you guys are. If I find everyone immedietly responds to competitions, I could post the HOH competition and the POV competition the same day! Things will be better defined as the game goes along. In the mean time, please do the competition as soon as possible, and we'll go from there!

Edit: Please, DO NOT discuss your answers with any other HouseGuests. Thank you.

Edit2: Please remember to answer the tiebreaker question! If you forgot, just comment again with your answer to the tiebreaker question. Thanks!

8/28/06 08:52 am - thellamaqueen - an overdue introduction...

I just realized that I never introduced myself...
The name's Krysta.  I'm a 19 year old sophomore at Grand Valley State University in Michigan, studying journalism and Spanish.
I have the most amazing boyfriend in the world, named Kevin.  I'm sure you'll hear more about him from me than you could ever want to know. ;)
I like to write... this past summer I wrote my first book.  It's a true story about a traumatic experience that I went through about a year ago.  If you're interested in checking it out, a rough copy can be found here this_ismystory.
I am also very much a Christian.  God rules everything I do.  He is my Rock and my Salvation, and I turn to Him for everything.  And I'll admit that at times, I can be a little abrasive about it.
Hmm... my favorite color is green.  My favorite animal is the llama.  My favorite bands are Switchfoot and the All American Rejects.  My favorite television show is by far Big Brother. I live in the tiniest apartment in the world, but i love it.  I am obsessed with folding things (napkins, clothes, anything that can be folded, really...)  I love anything that has peanut butter in it.
And i think that about covers it.

8/27/06 08:43 pm - ohxlindsey - Hello and I apologize

I'm not sure if I am still in the running to be on BB Online 2, but I have accepted the community, and my reason for joining so late is because I did not recieve the e-mails but I did get a notice on MSN from Jenn, so I am now here. Yay!

This seems like a very interesting thing, and I am excited to start, even if I have been forced to drop out of the running due to my lack of to respond so quickly. I apologize and this will not happen anymore now that I have joined the community and can keep watch.

Anyways, a little bit about me. I'm Lindsey, and I'm a sixteen year old girl from Alberta, who is working and getting ready to head back to school. I watch big brother religiously and am very excited to see what is going to happen this season, and who will win it all.

8/24/06 05:57 pm - thenunownedgoat - A Lindsey Update

When are we going to begin the game? I'm sure you all want to know. The answer is simple -- we're waiting on Lindsey (ohxlindsey) to join the community.

The reason I require everyone to join the community is simple. For starters, it gives me the ability to monitor who can see certain posts, vote in certain polls, etc. If, for instance, I posted a poll and only allowed community members to join, Lindsey couldn't vote in the poll, because she's not a member.

Additionally, I've recieved absolutely zero responce from Lindsey since I sent her the initial email telling her she was accepted. She friended the community, but I don't know when she did that (I'm guessing when she submited an application).

I sent her (in addition to Matthew, who hadn't joined at the time -- but he has joined now, so yay Matthew) a second email asking her to join the community three days ago. Since then, I have checked the community members page, to make sure she hasn't requested to join. She hasn't. I've checked my email every day (like I try to, anyways) to see if she emailed me back. She hasn't.

I sent her another email earlier today and told her that she would be replaced if she didn't join soon. Yes, I realize that's a tad harsh -- but I'm left with no other option.

She has until Monday, August 27th to join the community before she's replaced. If, on Monday, she still hasn't requested to join the community, I'll look back at the list of applicants that didn't get accepted and decide who I'll ask to be her replacement.

When Ally became a replacement nominee (yay Ally and stuff), she responded very quickly and we got her set up right away. I'm hoping, if it comes to replacing a HouseGuest, that this will work the same way. Ideally, I'll have the first Head of Household competition posted on Tuesday or (probably) Wednesday.

In the event that I cannot quickly find a replacement HouseGuest, I'll probably just downgrade the total number of HouseGuests to eleven. I don't want to do that. Twelve is a pretty small number to begin with, I don't want to make it any smaller. But I also want to get this game started, for you guys. You have to do what you have to do.

Thanks for bearing with me, HouseGuests. I really appriciate it, and hopefully we can get this game started soon.

8/23/06 05:45 am - filthytabloid

Hey everyone (:
Im diane. 17 in a few days lol.
I do apologize for not starting on time, i was sick with a lung infection and couldn't get on the computer, but its all good now.
Hmm a few things about me... well im a graphic designer, and the only job ive ever had is designing for bands (tshirts, etcetc). I travel a lot, my main goal is to visit all 7 continents. And uh I suppose if you have anything you want to know, just ask!

8/22/06 05:11 pm - mjl87 - My Introduction

Sorry that it took me so long to join the community, everyone; I just moved in to college (NC State University) a few days ago, and things have been incredibly chaotic trying to get acclimated to everything. However, I start classes tomorrow, and know my way around pretty well, so I shouldn't have any more issues related to this game.

I'll steal Jenn's idea and format my introduction as CBS did for theirs.

MatthewCollapse )
And a quick question for the host: would you like us to save and send AIM conversations to you? I know of some hosts who required that in the past.

8/19/06 07:33 pm - nymphadoraklutz - An intro!

Hi guys!

I'm Dorsey. I'm 14 and I'm from Alaska. I like rock music, television, and writing. That's all I'll ever need. Oh, and lasagna.

The first time I saw Big Brother was the premiere of BB5, and I fell in love with it and have been watching ever since. So I'm lucky there was an All Stars, because if there wasn't, I wouldn't get to see Chilltown. :D

My favorite shows are Big Brother, Rockstar, Survivor, Prison Break, Bones, The Office, and House, in case anyone wants to bond over that.

8/19/06 01:39 pm - jenn_renae - Jenn's Bio

Thought I would give you all a bit more info on myself before we head into the game, so here's more stuff about me (format taken from the official Big Brother website):

Jenn's BioCollapse )

8/17/06 10:51 pm - wish_on_a_star2

Well, hello to you all!! This is Marie, houseguest number nine for BB online two!  Needless to say, I'm super excited to be here and ready to start the game.

Seeing as everyone else has post a little intro to themselves, I guess I should do the same!

I'm a 22 year old female from eastern Ohio.  I work full-time at an Urgent Care doing billing and medical assisting work.  In my spare time, I take classes to finish my B.S. in Psychology with Ashford University online.  One day I hope to finish my PhD in Psychology and open my own practice.

As you probably guessed, I LOVE Big Brother... which is a given to everyone as we all signed up for the game.  I also enjoy watching Mythbusters and American Idol.

I am really looking forward to getting to know and playing this game with you all!!! See you in the game!

Hello everyone! I'm Jason and I am 18 years old. I live in Massachusetts and will be starting college this fall majoring either in English or history.

8/17/06 03:36 pm - slybrunette

Hi, everyone! My name is Stephanie. I'm sixteen and I live in Virginia, although I'm originally from Buffalo, New York and think of that as home more than VA.

I write a lot in my spare time, most of it being fanfiction. I write for shows such as Lost, Grey's Anatomy, and Buffy The Vampire Slayer/Angel. That's what (mostly) fills my journal.

I have below shoulder-length brown hair, hazel eyes, and very pale skin that burns way easier than I'd like. I'm taller than average, I think 5'8" maybe taller.

If there's anything else you want to know about me check my interests in my LJ, or feel free to email me.

8/17/06 02:24 pm - matterbuggy - But first!

Hi fellow HouseGuests! My name is Matt and I am very excited to be playing Big Brother with you all.

I am a 15 year old male that is addicted to Big Brother and TV in general. I live in Wisconsin. I love musicals. Ermmm... if you want more of my interests you can see my profile. :P

Unfortunately, the timing didn't work out the best, as I am leaving for vacation today (the 17th). I am going to be gone until the 26 or 27th. I knew this before signing up, and said I would deal with the consequences of that. So, I hope you keep me in the game until I come back, but I understand if you can't. However, realize that I can't be any threat to you while I'm not here! :P
Hoping to talk to you all when I get back,
Matt (matterbuggy)

BTW, my aim is matterbug50. I'd love to talk to you all!

8/17/06 02:49 pm - thenunownedgoat - Official HouseGuest List

After reviewing all the applicants, I have decided on a final list of twelve HouseGuests. These HouseGuests have been accepted into the Big Brother: Online 2 game.

HouseGuest One: Ally (hpfan58)

HouseGuest Two:
Daniel (dano_mano)

HouseGuest Three: Diane (filthytabloid)

HouseGuest Four: Dorsey (nymphadoraklutz)

HouseGuest Five: Jason (the_mole123)

HouseGuest Six: Jenn (jenn_renae)

HouseGuest Seven: Krysta (thellamaqueen)

HouseGuest Eight: Lindsey (ohxlindsey)

HouseGuest Nine: Marie (brightcntrystar)

HouseGuest Ten: Matt (matterbuggy)

HouseGuest Eleven: Matthew (mjl87)

HouseGuest Twelve: Stephanie (slybrunette)

Congratulations on making it into the game, HouseGuests. If you wish, you may post an introduction to the community by either making a new post, or by posting a comment to this entry. All HouseGuests are encouraged to get to know each other, by use of introductions or by use of the chat.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me!

Edit (on 8/20): Faiza (duchovnysfan) changed her mind after I accepted her and decided not to play. She was replaced with Ally, who is now HouseGuest One. If you were in the first four (or five), your HouseGuest number changed. But it's no big deal.

8/2/06 12:57 am - thenunownedgoat - Joining the Community

LiveJournal's communities feature has several options as far as "joining" a community. Whoever maintains the community (in this case, that would be me) sets the options which controls how everything works.

Currently, I have moderated membership settings enabled. This means that if you attempt to join this community, I must first approve it before you are actually able to join the community. This is because I only want Big Brother: Online 2 HouseGuests to join the community – no others.

The reason for this is organization and special features. If there are several people who only join the community to watch what happens in the game, the userinfo page becomes cluttered up and hard to distinguish between HouseGuests and viewers.

Additionally, there are some things I only want HouseGuests to see. While this does not happen often, it does happen occasionally. If only HouseGuests have joined the community, I can easily do this by making it so only members can view the post. These posts are never anything important – just something private, such as a link to the chat room, etc. that I don’t want the general public to have access too.

Also, if only HouseGuests join the community, I can easily control who can post to the community. The community could easily become cluttered with posts cheering on their favorite BBO2 HouseGuests, or asking questions about developments in the game. We are trying to avoid this by limiting those who have joined the community.

If you request to join the community at this point, I will not either approve or deny it – I will just leave it pending. If you end up becoming a HouseGuest, I can easily approve or deny it if you end up becoming a HouseGuest.

After the game has started, I will change the settings and deny all other non-HouseGuests. While I realize you may wish to join the community so you can monitor what happens in the game, I cannot allow this at this time. I encourage all non-HouseGuests to see what happens in the game, but you do not have to actually join the community to do so.

If you have any questions, please ask.

7/31/06 01:23 pm - thenunownedgoat - Application Information

(edit on 8/14)

Unfortunately, we are no longer accepting applications. If you are accepted, you will recieve an email within the near future, although we cannot promise an exact date. I first want to fine-tune all the competitions and make sure they are exactly how I want them, so I'm not changing them once the game begins.

Good luck, potential HouseGuests.

(edit on 7/6)

Applications will be closed on Monday, August 14th, 2006! No applications will be accepted after that.

Additionally, I have recieved (and am considering) applications from the following people: slybrunette, danceprincess20, jamielb, pink_teacups, filthytabloid, aching_world, jillianblair, thellamaqueen, nymphadoraklutz, jenn_renae, the_mole123, duchovnysfan, neurotic_orchid, musikitty, and brightcntrystar.

Oh, and we're really short on male applicants. Being female won't decrease your chances of being picked or anything, but if there are any male lurkers out there -- we'd love it if you would apply!

At this time, we are currently accepting applications. In order to apply, you must have a LiveJournal account and be at least thirteen years old.

I cannot honestly say how long the application process will last. When I feel I have enough interesting applications, I will post a date in this post and let everyone know when I will be closing the applications.

(1) Read everything in this post and make sure you understand it completely. If you have any questions, contact the host, Andy (thenunownedgoat) by emailing him at thenunownedgoat at gmail dot com.

(2) Decide if you really want to do this. If you’re not sure, stop and consider it. Once you become part of the Jury, we do not allow you to drop out of the game (meaning you are required to drop out before you become part of the Jury or cast a final vote). And while you can still drop out of the game before you become part of the jury, we’d rather just “cast” people who are going to stay and compete till the end.

(3) Fill out the following application, completely. All questions are required. Additionally, the more you answer for each question, the more you increase your chances of being “casted.”

(4) Make sure your application is original, but HONEST. If we feel you are lying about anything, we won’t give you any chance. Give us actual, correct answers, not answers we want to hear!

(5) Wait. Once we have enough applicants, we will send out an email to all those who were accepted. If you do not receive an email, we’re sorry, but we’re unable to accommodate you at this time.

All comments are screened, meaning only I will be able to see the comments you make.

7/28/06 04:11 pm - thenunownedgoat - Welcome to Big Brother: Online 2

Welcome to Big Brother: Online 2, the interactive game based of the US version of the reality television show, Big Brother, currently airing in its seventh season on CBS.

Big Brother: Online 2 is very similar to the T.V. game. Each week, contestants (or HouseGuests) will compete in the Head of Household competition, guaranteeing their safety in the game. However, with this safety comes an important task: the task of nominating two fellow HouseGuests for eviction. Later, a Power of Veto competition is held, the winner being able to "veto" one of the HOH's nominations. Finally, the remaining HouseGuests will vote to evict one of the final nominees.

Big Brother: Online 2 is the second "season" of Big Brother: Online. To view the first season, please click here. However, keep in mind that the link leads to the community for last season -- the competitions will be different and the HouseGuests will be different, as will the way everything is organized.

To find out more about how the game works, please read the following:

How the Game WorksCollapse )

If accepted to play Big Brother: Online 2, you must follow and agree to these rules.
