Originally, Matt won the Power of Veto competition with 16 points, making him the winner. I will admit, I found this highly suspicious, but did not say anything because I didn't want to offend if he was telling the truth, and there really wasn't anything I could do anyways.
Here's a little part of what I posted in the POV competition. "
Without looking the answer up, type either “true” or “false” for each answer in a comment. Do not enter anything besides true or false (including T/F), or your question will be marked wrong. Here are the questions."
Apparently, not reading the introductions is commonplace around here (*cough*Krysta:-P*cough*). Just read it before you compete, it's no big deal.
To quote Allison Grodner, executive producer of the actual Big Brother game, I value fairness very seriously here. Many believe Allison Grodner wasn't serious, but I am. I pre-write all the competitions before I read your applications.
Matt posted this comment:Hi Andy. I'm going to have to disqualify myself from the veto competition.
I didn't see the no looking for online for answers until after I sent in my responses. I said if I won it, that I would give it up.
So, I'm really sorry for not reading all the rules, that's no ones fault but my own. I understand if I should get a penalty nomination or whatever the penalty is.
Because of this, we need to determine the new Power of Veto winner. I'm not going to re-do the competition, I'm just going to eliminate Matt and re-determine the winner. At the end of the game, Jason and Jenn were tied with six points, which means we need to go to a tie-breaker.
Additionally, we'll discuss Matt's cheating below.( POV TiebreakerCollapse )
Now, about Matt's cheating. It was clearly stated that you were not to look the answers up. Because of this, it wouldn't be fair to let this "slip" as a mistake.
Matt will recieve a penalty nomination. In addition to the two "normal" nominees, Matt will also be up for eviction this week. HouseGuests may choose to evict one of the three choices, just like normal (except there was three). In the event that Jenn uses the Power of Veto, Matt will still decide the replacement nominee.
Jenn cannot use the Power of Veto on Matt.

One last thing, about the cheating situation. I realize that there's really nothing I can do to control cheating the way it is currently set up. I don't want to make the competitions "live" (in the chatroom or otherwise), because not everyone can get on at the same time (plus, I can't always guarantee that I'll be able to get on).
I've got an idea about something that I could do which MAY help somewhat. Until then, I don't really have anything to offer. I do hope that from now on, there will be absolutely no cheating in the game. I'm using the honor system, I know, but it's the best I can do. Please, people, don't ruin this for everyone by cheating. Just be honest!
